The project is SME friendly. The existing entrepreneur in the region can rent a unit at this indoor market. In this way they can profit from trends and developments as ‘leisure’ and ‘buying as a derivative’. The indoor market will help you as an entrepreneur to stay alive in these difficult times, by broaching a new market. It is our goal to create economic growth and employment.
Entrepreneurs from small towns otherwise having hard times because of e-commerce and chain stores, can now increase their revenue by renting a marketplace within a leisure formula, the other trend of the moment. The square meter price is still below that of a flea market. The World bazar has great attraction to visitors from outside the region and creates a huge increase in the sales area of the (entrepreneurial) entrepreneur who settles here. Vice versa, no one in doing his daily shopping will stay away from the known and trusted retailers in Winschoten.
The visitors who pay a recreational visit to the market stay in the vicinity and are attracted to the centres of surrounding villages and towns. Here the arts and crafts also are in advantage. To strengthen this effect, travel packages will be provided and mediated by special counters. Tour operators will provide organized bus trips to the indoor market.
The World bazar is located in the leisure segment and draws its own visitors from outside the region. The indoor market is open only on weekends and public holidays.
